The self-appointed, crowd-anointed King of Techno Sprechgesang (German: [ˈʃpʀɛçɡəˌzaŋ], "spoken singing") and Synthpop Sprechstimme (German: [ˈʃpʀɛçˌʃtɪmə], "spoken voice") displays his unusual range of abstract expressionist vocal techniques that loiter and lounge around somewhere in the misty twilight that hovers impishly between singing and speaking.

You catch a lyrical gem or iambic oddity. The words are striking like a razor-sharp hatchet chopping cheese and cherries. Is he "saying poetry" or is he "talk-crooning"? Is it just vocalizations, or do the syllable baskets actually refer to something in the real world, or in the world of imagination, or both?

Though sometimes used interchangeably, Sprechgesang is directly related to the operatic recitative manner of singing (in which pitches are sung, but the articulation is rapid and loose like speech), whereas Sprechstimme is closer to speech itself (because it does not emphasise any particular pitches).
